Hey Everybody!
Just wanted to update you all to let you know that Daddy is doing well...Praise the Lord. His white blood counts and hemoglobin are almost back in the normal range and he is able to go out and about now. He has even been doing some fishing lately! His cancer markers aren't where we would like them to be yet (zero hopefully real soon), but they are decreasing and the doctor assures us that you really can't tell much yet. He said any decrease is good. As long as they aren't going up, he feels good about them. They will do a full work up at 100 days post transplant and we will be able to tell much more about how the transplant worked. But, as you will read below, we have no doubt Daddy is completely healed.
Right before Daddy went in for his transplant, Kathy Miller, a dear friend of ours, sang a song in church that God had given her for Daddy. It was absolutely beautiful and really ministered to us and continues to as well. Anyway, she recorded it and I just realized I could put it on the blog. Not only did Kathy sing it before he went in, but she knew how much it touched Moma and Daddy so she had our precious teenagers do an interpretive dance to it and had it ready the Sunday he was able to come back to church. What a wonderful surprise! Kathy, Beth, and those precious teens will never know how much it meant to our family. I will have to see if there is any way I can upload the video to the blog. Anyway, click below to listen to the song and I also put the words at the bottom if you want to read along as she sings.
Healer by Kathy Miller Music Codes
You hold my every moment
You calm my raging seas
You walk with me through fire
And heal all my disease
I trust in you
I trust in you
I believe
You're my healer
I believe
You are all i need
I believe
You're my portion
I believe
You're more than enough for me
Jesus, you're all i need
Nothing is impossible for you
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible for you
You hold my world in your hands
Thank you God that you are our healer! Thank you for healing my Daddy! Thanks to all of you for your prayers. Please keep them coming. Also, please join us at Relay this Friday night if you can as we celebrate our survivors and remember those who have lost the battle. Much love to you all~
