Great news today! Daddy started chemo about 11:00 this morning and is doing GREAT!! They told us that if he was going to get violently ill, it would happen pretty quickly. And...so far, so good! They did warn that other side effects usually appear after about five days but we have faith God will take care of all of that.
The nurse today was great and warned Daddy not to be alarmed if the nurse wears a shield and mask when hooking his chemo up tomorrow. She said she doesn't but some are pretty cautious and they do. Must be pretty potent stuff!!
Daddy said the food is pretty good and he is trying to eat all that he can just in case he gets sick in a few days. He even choked down some garden peas at lunch and that is something (actually one of the few things) that Daddy and I both despise. Thanks again for your prayers. Day two, which is also the final day, of chemo begins tomorrow. God is good and is providing in ways that we can't even believe!
